What Are Primogems?
Primogems are the most valuable currency in Genshin Impact. They can be converted into Intertwined Fates or Acquaint Fates (160 Primogems per Fate) used for wishing on character and weapon banners. For free-to-play (F2P) players, maximizing Primogem income is crucial for building a strong roster.
1. Redemption Codes (300-600+ Primogems/Month)
Redemption codes are the easiest source of free Primogems. HoYoverse releases codes during:
- Version Livestreams: 3 codes × 100 Primogems = 300 Primogems every 6 weeks
- Promotional Events: 30-60 Primogems per code, released periodically
- Social media milestones: Special one-time codes
Annual estimate: 2,400-3,600 Primogems from codes alone. Check our active codes page daily to never miss a code.
2. Daily Commissions (1,440 Primogems/Month)
Complete all 4 daily commissions and collect the bonus reward from the Adventurer's Guild for 60 Primogems per day. This is the most consistent daily source:
- 4 commissions × 10 Primogems = 40
- Adventurer's Guild bonus = 20
- Total: 60/day = 1,800 per month
3. Events (600-2,000+ Primogems/Patch)
Each version update brings multiple in-game events, each rewarding 60-420 Primogems. Major events can provide even more. Always participate in limited-time events — they're the second-largest source of free Primogems for F2P players.
4. Spiral Abyss (600-1,200 Primogems/Month)
The Spiral Abyss resets twice per month. Floors 9-12 with 36 stars awards 600 Primogems per reset:
- Floors 9-12: 12 chambers × 3 stars × ~50 Primogems
- Full clear twice/month = 1,200 Primogems
5. Exploration & Chests (One-Time, Thousands)
Exploring new regions yields massive one-time Primogem rewards:
- Common Chest: 0-2 Primogems
- Exquisite Chest: 2-5 Primogems
- Precious Chest: 5-10 Primogems
- Luxurious Chest: 10-40 Primogems
- Remarkable Chest: 5 Primogems
New regions can provide 1,000-3,000+ Primogems from chests, Waypoints, Statues, and puzzles combined.
6. Achievements (1,000+ Primogems Total)
Genshin Impact has hundreds of achievements, each rewarding 5-20 Primogems. Completionists can earn over 1,000 Primogems from achievements alone.
